Norbur Residential Training

For SUPERB results!

This is without doubt the best way of all for most dogs. Your dog stays here with us and is taught all of the following exercises:

  • To walk to heel correctly on your left side both ON and OFF the lead
  • To sit and go down on command
  • To stay in one position when told
  • To come when called

As a combination, these exercises have proved their worth over and again and are usually just what the owner requires. Your dog is much happier when he knows exactly what is expected of him and, as a result, he is much more responsive and attentive to you. Any bad habits (continual jumping up, for example) are normally corrected quite easily but if you have a special problem, let us know - we can usually help.

At the end of the course, a demonstration is given of your dog going through his training exercises, along with easy instructions for future handling

Q.

How early can my dog start his training?

A.

In many ways, the earlier the better! But he should be at least 5 months old.

Q.

Does he have to have a veterinary check up first?

A.

Not specifically. But he should be fully innoculated and also with INTRAC™ or NOBIVAC KC™ against Kennel Cough. Consult your vet for more details.

Q.

How long is the course?

A.

Usually 3 weeks to achieve the best results. We offer a 2 week course that may fit your plans better and although the full standard will not be achieved, a huge improvement will be made. Some breeds, experience has shown, require 4 weeks and we will be happy to advise you.

Q.

Can he come in at any time of the year?

A.

Yes - but you do have to make a firm booking first. Contact us for more details, including a full brochure.
